The renovation works that started in the spring semester of the 2014-2015 academic year have been largely completed. As a result of long efforts, our laboratories, classrooms, seminar hall, technical infrastructure and general areas have been renewed.

Macintosh Lab

Macintosh Laboratory was established in order to produce more efficient solutions in courses such as Visual Literacy, Web / Graphic Design and Operating Systems given in our department. The air conditioning and furniture of the Macintosh Lab, which consists of 20 iMacs, 3 iPads, ultra-close projections and a smart board, has also been renewed.
 

Pc Labs

The computers of 3 PC laboratories in our department have been renewed. Windows 10 and Linux operating systems are used in our laboratories consisting of HP brand computers. The air conditioning and furniture of the PC Laboratory, which consists of 67 PCs, ultra-close projections and smart boards, have also been renewed.
 

Human-Technology Interaction Laboratory

The Human-Technology Interaction Laboratory in our department is designed for interaction with technology and usability tests. The laboratory consists of two parts: the test room where the users are located and the observation room where the test organizers are located. During the tests, audio and video recording, screen and keyboard-mouse movements are recorded through different cameras and microphones; The received data are analyzed by means of Noldus Observer and u-log software. Eye movements are recorded with the SMI Eye-tracking device. In 2015, with the project supported by TÜBİTAK, a biophysiological measuring device capable of measuring skin tension and heart rate was brought to the Human-Technology Interaction Laboratory.

Our Seminar Hall

A 65" interactive touch screen is installed in the seminar room where we conduct Master's and Doctoral courses, enabling focus, participation and sharing.
 

General Usage Areas

The painting and lighting works of the general use areas of our department have been completed. Department corridors, doors and panels have been renewed.

Projectors

In order to improve the quality of the lessons, the projectors in our laboratories and classrooms have been renewed. Ultra-close projectors with dual pen interaction, widescreen resolution and audio support feature EasyMP Monitor, EasyMP Networking, EasyMP Multi-PC Projector/Mirroring. Devices with interactive whiteboards allow up to 50 computers to be used as laboratory management systems.
 

Smart Board Solutions

In order to provide a dynamic classroom environment and to increase the interaction between the instructor and the students, interactive (smart) boards have been installed in our classrooms. Smart boards using MimioStudio 11.5 software offer visual materials supported by sound and animations, allowing for more permanent learning.
 

Air conditioning

The air conditioners of the classrooms and laboratories in our department have been renewed within the scope of air conditioning studies.
